Before starting, it is important to note that the planks should be acclimatized in the room in the unopened packaging for at least 48 hours. This prevents condensation if the floorboards are colder than the air in the room. The storage of the plank packages should be a maximum of 2 packages high and stacked loosely. A minimum distance of 50 cm from the walls must be maintained so that all boards in the package can be heated evenly. In this way you ensure that the wood can adapt optimally to the climatic conditions of the room.

Also note the following points:

The substrate must be dry (maximum 0.3% residual moisture for anhydrite screed and maximum 1.8% residual moisture for cement screed) as well as level and firm. – An expansion gap of at least 15 mm from the walls and other fixed components is required to give the floorboards enough space to expand and shrink. – The room should have a healthy indoor climate (also in your own interest). A relative humidity between 50% and 65% and a temperature of around 20 °C keep shrinkage and swelling of the floorboards within limits.
