Marco Umfahrer –Our new colleague at FEEL WOOD

We are delighted to welcome Marco Umfahrer as a new member of our team at FEEL WOOD. In this interview, Marco gives us an insight into his professional career, his role and his visions for the future of FEEL WOOD.

Marco, can you tell us about your professional background?
With great pleasure. My career began in the carpentry trade, where I gained basic knowledge and skills in woodworking. I then trained as a retail merchant, which gave me a solid foundation in retail and customer service. My passion for wood led me into field sales in the timber industry, where I was able to further develop my knowledge. I eventually took on the role of sales manager in various sectors, gaining extensive experience in sales management and customer management.

What tasks and responsibilities do you have at FEEL WOOD?
One of FEEL WOOD’s main tasks is to build up a sales network of architects, dealers, carpenters and floor layers. The aim is to develop strong partnerships, expand the network and further strengthen FEEL WOOD’s market presence.

How do you see the future of the industry and what visions do you have for FEEL WOOD?
I believe that the future of the industry as a whole is challenging, especially with the current situation of new construction and the pricing policies of our competitors. However, I am convinced that trustworthy partnerships are essential to counter these trends. Sustainability is a high priority for many, and FEEL WOOD offers the best solutions in this area.

What challenges and opportunities do you see for FEEL WOOD?
Current challenges include the difficult market situation and competition. I plan to meet these challenges by building strong, sustainable partnerships and a clear focus on quality and experience.

The enthusiasm for wood as a product and the opportunity to contribute to a better climate through the use of wood is also very motivating for me personally.

For me, the most important criteria for potential sales and installation partners is the quality of the handshake. Only through trust and reliability can successful, long-term partnerships be created.

Essentially, it is about constantly adapting and developing our products and services to meet the highest quality standards. Especially in difficult economic times, people focus on quality products. My personal goal with FEEL WOOD is to bring solid wood flooring back to the masses and highlight its benefits and beauty.
