It’s up to you to decide whether you want to lay your wooden floor yourself or hire a professional to do it for you. But no matter which route you choose – the first-class quality and the different installation methods guarantee you a successful project.
The laying options
There are different ways to lay solid wood floorboards. One option is to use brackets for boards with a width of 135/137 mm. The planks are connected using the clamps and laid floating on the subsurface. Another variant is laying with screws, in which the planks are screwed directly to the floor.
Another option is to fix the floor covering with adhesive. This is particularly useful when a particularly stable hold is desired. You can also glue solid wood floorboards over the entire surface to underfloor heating or use drywall elements and screw them onto an intermediate batten.
What is particularly interesting is that all three installation variants are also suitable and approved for installation on all underfloor heating systems.

To ensure that you can fully enjoy your FEEL WOOD solid wood floor, you should definitely adhere to the following principles:
PRINCIPLE 1
The floor must be dry (anhydrite screed: maximum 0.3% residual moisture; cement screed: maximum 1.8% residual moisture), level and stable.
PRINCIPLE 2
A distance of at least 15 mm must be maintained from walls and other fixed structures. This gives the solid planks room to “work”.
PRINCIPLE 3
It is important that the room has a healthy indoor climate - also for your own benefit. Maintain a relative humidity between 50% and 65% and a temperature of around 20°C. This keeps the shrinkage and swelling of the boards to a minimum.
Please ensure you observe the following: Allow the planks to acclimate in the unopened packaging in the designated room for at least 48 hours to adjust to the room temperature. Lay the packages flat and horizontally on the floor.

With these tips for laying solid wood floorboards you will be well prepared for your new project. Make sure that you plan and carry out the work carefully and that the principles mentioned are adhered to. So you will enjoy your new wooden floor for a long time - a real eye-catcher in every room!
