When we were planning our house, one thing was clear: it had to be ecological and healthy! It was important for us to choose materials that are free of harmful substances and that create a good indoor climate. That’s why we chose FEEL WOOD solid wood flooring. No fumes, 100% natural – that was important to us, especially for our children.
For the Nowak family, it was clear that they wanted to think not only about their own health, but also about the future of their children. With FEEL WOOD they made exactly the right decision.

We wanted a floor that felt raw and untreated – and we got that with the brushed and matt oiled spruce planks from FEEL WOOD. The barefoot feeling is incredible! We almost always walk barefoot in the house – it feels so natural and comfortable.
And the best part? As well as being beautiful, the planks are durable and easy to clean. Even if there is a minor accident, which is a common occurrence with children, the floor remains immaculate.
We were advised against it. But we haven’t regretted it for a second!
Many people warned us: ‘Wooden floorboards with children? You can’t do that!’ But we didn’t let them put us off. And now we can say with certainty that it was the best decision we ever made! The floor is super easy to maintain, hard-wearing and still looks like new after several months.

I love how easy the floor is to maintain. A quick mop and everything is clean again. It saves us so much time on a day-to-day basis – and that’s something you really appreciate when you have small children.

In total we laid about 120 square metres of floorboards. It was the right decision for us – the floor fits perfectly into our home and creates a warm, natural atmosphere.

Our main advice is to think carefully about the type of wood and finish you want. The possibilities for designing a wood surface are almost endless, so there is something for everyone. And don’t forget: wood is a natural product that will age with you and your family. The first ding may hurt, but each one tells a story. With solid wood flooring, you get a natural, easy-care and durable floor in your home – ideal for families where children can play safely.
Future projects with FEEL WOOD
Our next project is the children’s room. Again, we will be using Feel Wood planks, which are wonderfully easy to lay, even for us amateurs. We are also planning to do some wall panelling in one of the rooms. And maybe even the ceiling in the bedroom. We’ll see what comes!
